No I’m not surprised they’re hiding this I’ve been studying who did history for 30 years my God. I’ve learnt more since leaving school. There’s so much history hidden and deleted youngsters today. Have no idea

I wish I had known about this earlier in my life my grandparents were born in the late 1800's I surely would have asked them a million questions. Also I have a picture of my grandfather standing in a front of a open area without anything behind him but dirt and mud as far as the picture shows no trees no grass no animals nothing this is in Virginia where he was born around the late 1870's. Living in the Pa area for years I've notice mud flood buildings absolutely everywhere and have seen with my own eyes is a starfort behind the Philadelphia airport. It may be me but when I was there it was a very weird feeling came over me like I shouldn't be here so I went home immediately! Also having worked in City hall for years I can honestly say that building is far older than what they say (imho). It's probably close to 300 years old if not older not the 1870's especially from what the sub basement looks likenkt for the faint if heart. My father to me when he moved to Philly there was nothing but dirt past woodland avenue going in a southernly direction where the Philadelphia international airport now sits. The entire area as he told me was a swamps and dirt as far as your eye could see. Even to this day when it rains hard water is everywhere especially near the tinicum township wildlife preserve.

My grandfather says he was born in 1892. They gave him a birth certificate that looks like a cut and paste, that says he was born in 1893. They sent him off to France with a rifle in 1917. My uncle was sent there with one in 1944. My father was sent to the Pacific Islands with one in 1944. Somehow they knew how to fight while they didn't know what was happening. I hope the fighting part goes the same with me, as far as knowing, but I do like to think I know what's happening....

1892 is too recent, I honestly think it happened in early 1800s or even in 1700s.

Were the people who built these structure (cathedral-like buldings, as well) still alive after the mud-flood ? Why wouldn't they be consulted - or at least have their own initiative to... golly, dare I say it... "build back better" ???
