It's become trendy to crap on these amps, because when something gets too popular, people feel they need to take it down a peg. But, I freaking love these amps. It's not meant to replace anything. It's simply meant to get you to play and have fun in a small package. And that's exactly what it is for me. I practice a hell of a lot more than I ever did, and having access to all sorts of sounds, to my song catalog, to a jamming track based on what I play, and the portability, is a major plus.

Very cool! Is there an advantage to putting the MV7 USB mic in front of it versus direct USB to record (since the sounds are all digital already)?

Why and how are you micing the amp that way and what is it running into? do you need the mic? what are you using the mic for to go into the laptop?
