I’m 77 and visit my bank at the first of every month to take out the amount of cash I need for the month for food, gas, and miscellaneous expenses. I don’t use my debit card, just cash. I would miss being able to go inside my bank, but in Ten years most of us old folks will be gone and visiting your local bank will be just one more service forever gone.

That’s a problem, very few people actually walk into the bank to do any transactions, people are walking away from cash using their cards creating the decline of banks usefulness.we doing it to ourselves.

If you have a bank account in a national bank close it and find a local bank or credit union.

Dropped off a paper check, had teller give me a small bit of cash and transfer money to payoff credit card. I like them doing it.

My friend went to his small credit union and withdrew a couple thousand dollars cash for emergency backup plan. The tellar was middle eastern (!) and asked if he was going on vacation. He said yes, then she went to the back and brought a manager with her and manager asks "Where are you going on vacation?" First of all this is disturbing...they don't need to know why, its his money he can come get it if he wants to for any reason!! Second, since that teller has access to all the ID info, whats to stop them from trying to beeak into his house and rob him? Todays world is scary

AS AN EXPAT HAVING RETIRED OVERSEAS, I ONLY USED MY BANK TO DIRECT DEPOSIT MY SOCIAL SECURITY WHEN I RETIRED BUT BEFORE MOVING. IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING TO HAVE IT DIRECT DEPOSITED TO A BANK OVERSEAS WHERE I LIVE. ONLY OTHER REASON FOR GOING TO MY BANK SOON IS TO CLEAN OUT AND CLOSE A SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX WE LEFT BEHIND. WAS AWARE OF THE TRENDS IN BANKING WHICH EXPLAINS MY INTEREST IN CHANGING BANKS. IF MINE CLOSED WHERE WOULD BY DIRECT DEPOSIT PAYMENT END UP? AND IF WE END UP WITH SOME FORM OF ECONOMIC CLAPSE I DO NOT WANT ANY KIND OF PHYSICAL CONTACT BUSINESS WISE WITH AMERICAN BANKS. GOOD VIDEO.
