For 799 I'd expect at least a Blue cartridge. I feel like you're paying a pretty large premium for network features.

I’ve got a 1917 Victrola phonograph a few feet from where I’m sitting now. And many 78RPM shellac records. I kind of wish they respected their past enough to offer a 78RPM setting and an optional cartridge for playing 78RPM shellac records to my Sonos.

This interesting product. I don't have any turntable, but want to get into vinyl. I was already looking at purchasing a AT LP120x and either Play 5 or Port. When you look at the combined cost, its nearly same or more than the cost of this, with less steps, wires, connections.

Seems very beginner friendly. Is there something I'm missing...and there's a cheaper option in the onyx. Any advice?

Great video! It not showing up as a Sonos source is a deal breaker for me though.

An airplay turntable would be interesting.

I decided to get the Stream Carbon. Situation: new to vinyls, received a collection from my parents, already have a Sonos ARC+SUB system, don't have a lot of room for additional equipment and wires. The Victrola Stream Carbon is efficient for my situation. I will say that a stable wifi connection is important, if not, you will need to hard wire. I believe it would cost more to get an equal quality record player, and gateway (Sonos One, Port, Amp) in order to play it on my current Sonos setup. Great review!

So are there Sonos Port/turntable combinations that would be about the price of this? Would that be a better buy I wonder 💭

I purchased the Victrola carbon. but before I did so I also tried the fluance 85 and it sounded great but with my set up I couldn't get rid of the Hum my led lights created. I tried everything to minimize this . The only solution I had was to move the record player to the basement. I didn't want to do that So I opted for the carbon stream. Right off the bat it was great there was no hum, it connected to my Sonos instantly, , , Now here's my issue with he carbon stream. It will not stay connected to my Sonos system. I can get through a record without the Audio dropping at at lest 4-5x a record. it's very fustration. I tried trouble shooting and can't seem to keep it connected and yes I tried hardwiring it. After 3 days of trying to make it work I have to return the unit. S frustrating

Now, make it ID the LP (by quickly sampling a few tracks) and then allow you to play tracks in a selected order from the app in your phone. My Technics linear tracker from the 80s won’t ID the record, but I can program the tracks using buttons on the front panel.

Hello, i have a turntable, amp and four normal speakers, im wanting to get 4 300 speakers for the spartial sound via Bluetooth, can I group all four speakers plus run my turntable through them? That way getting rid of my amp and four normal speakers? Hope that makes sense, thanks,

Big danger with devices like this: 2 or 3 years from now when the app doesn’t run on your iPhone 17 without being updated by the developer… and Victrola won’t want to maintain the app. You’ve now got a £799 brick.

Sonos will convert the analogue sauce to digital audio and ruin the whole point of vinyl’s warm sound?

But you can’t connect them to Sonos 5 anymore 😞 Or you can, but it sounds terrible since they can no longer be tuned with trueplay as stereo pair

How come it’s $799 in the US but £899 here!?! Somethings not adding up

Has anyone tried to get one in Australia?

Sonos just wrecked their sonos business with the sonos 100 and 300, now you can use any turntable

Taking analog music converting to digital. Why? Just stream then. The turntable becomes a conversation piece.
