You are 100 % correct, being flexible is so important. I starting selling some of my higher priced games, they sold and I’ve had repeat buyers with positive feedback. Keep up the good work my dood, videos are great

I've been thinking of selling my big collection to help with a down payment of a house. It's overwhelming to think about where to start. I appreciate you covering the topic

Great video man! I told my significant other that if we ever run into any issue down the line, we definitely got Equity built up in our collection. I’m not afraid to sell anything, cause life is too short to hold onto everything. 🔥🙏🏾

I always list my most expensive items at 75% of what they're going for as an ebay auction and set the Buy It Now price at value+$5-$10. Never had a single issue with selling in 20+ years. Lower value games under $25 each I sell in a bundle and start the auction at %50 of the value with the BIN price at exactly the value. They usually sell to a videogame store buying collections off ebay. One tip: always do free shipping, you will get more watchers and bids. My goal is to sell, not get top dollar. It's going to be far more than what you'd get from Gamestop anyways.

One of my biggest pet peeves with eBay sellers is that they sometimes don't do a good job of photographing the condition of items. That and lack of description. For example, if someone doesn't take enough photos of the condition, or if they don't say that the item is authentic, tested, and working, it would be a no from me.

I like watching these advice videos, some good tips there. Selling games you won't likely ever play again makes other retro gamers happy.

I sold a lot of my common stuff last year just to free up space and for me personally ( my opinion) a bit of a cleaner look.

Awesome video. Couldn't agree more. It is hard sometimes parting with certain items, but they do just take up room. I recently parted with my Rock Band 4 for the PS4. As much as it hurt getting rid of it, since I enjoyed it very much, it was time to let it go. No time to play it as much as I want too.

the way i look at it is collect what i want and if there is an emergency i could sell some stuff for the money if i miss the game work back to buy it again

Thank you for this great insight Mr Wright Way. I am selling my entire collection spanning across 10+ systems. Price chartings got it valued right at 7 grand and it's been a tough road early on of getting interest. I'm realistically looking to get 40% of value but am really trying to sell everything as a lot due to time constraints with work and family life. This video really helped guide me and I really hope I have some success with this advice. Much appreciated. 🤘

i sold my collection and my opinion it was a nightmare scammers on ebay trying to steal games when you sell high end video games expect scammers don’t send to people with 0 feedback

Awesome video 🙌🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Been collecting on and off (life getting in the way) over the last 25 years. I have learned to be selective or should say carefully curated my collecting habits.

Rekindle that collecting itch back in 2018 - I have focused on mainly a full set for n64 (loose and cib) both NA and JPN exclusive games.

I have sold my excess or extra games for the Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast to fund the n64 set and just kept a handful of games around 10-30 per consoles on games I truly play.

Some of the big ticket items I usually sell on eBay, mercari, OfferUp and FB marketplace place to get close/near market value. Or use as trade bait with other collector.

The rest I trade in as store credit at my local retro stores (50-70 mv). 😁.

Pet peeve from other resellers who don’t know how to take proper pictures - some post pictures that is out of a Motorola Razr …😂

Nice details on breaking them down into groups to sell. Also, I use vintage stock as a meat grinder for games almost no one wants old madden, fifa, etc to strengthen the core so that when someone is looking at the collection it gives the perception of quality over a bunch of filler titles.

Thanks for the tips Steve! I wish I had this info back in 2014 when I offloaded my GameCube and PS2 collections and some Dreamcast and N64 games (everything was mint and cib). The market wasn’t what it is today but I needed cash in a pinch and just sold them at a resale shop. Got 400 dollars for about 5K worth of games today. But I agree with you, you can get them back which I have done with some of them. And on top of that we can’t take them with us. My collection has bounced back since. Thanks for the guide and tips!

Great suggestions. It’s surprising how many people could get use out of this.
I would say if you are going to sell on Facebook marketplace provide reputable references so that people know you are legit.
