Thank you for this - I saw a guild speaker once explain how she made her butted corners and it made no sense to me. Your video explains it perfectly and I can't wait to try it now.

you do such a great job filming and explaining! I am guessing you used a 1/4"SA...? I don't hand sew but I think this will work with my preferred method of machine binding. I sew the same size binding you use on the front, trim down the raw edge a tiny bit, fold to back, iron, pin/clip and then SID on the front catching the back. so tidy.

I purchase a pattern with a beach and sand scene it has a small boat and sand pipers etc. I have not startled it because I was looking for the perfect sand material. I was looking on how to do this binding and came across your video. It’s the method I’m going to use one my small projects. would you PLEASE tell me where you got the sand fabric!! It’s exactly what I need for my pattern. Plus do you do training videos on how you do your scenes?

I'm a disabled quilter working around my abilities. Mitered corners & I just don't get along. It makes me so discouraged. :( BUT this gives me hope. Lol ang I like butted corners better myself.

Ann, where does someone begin to explore the "how to's" of art quilting?

Do you prefer butted corners over mitered? Or is there some other reason for doing your binding this way? 🤷 Thank you for the video 😊👍💕

I’m sure you won’t see this comment 11 years later but, just in case, how do you hang your quilts? Command strips or ??
