Beekeeping inspection tips are so needed because many beekeepers HATE inspecting their bees. If you hate inspecting, then you will just not do it. And if you don't inspect your bees, you'll not recognize problems.

Purchase my inspection guide, download it and print it off and use it to help you know what you should be looking for during your inspections.

Keeping honey bees as a beekeeper is such a hoot. I mean, being a beekeeper is so rewarding. We need honey bees to pollinate our food and crops. Honey is so delicious. I hope you will consider the joy of becoming a beekeeper and start beekeeping today.

Your tip about having a video of your inspection is right on. I was fortunate to have someone video me early on in my beekeeping career. it was an incredible help for me to get comfortable with the inspection process.

HA! When I first started I thought I was the only one who hated to inspect my hives. I was so nervous and anxious I didn't do it often enough. I lost my 1st colonies. On my second try a beekeeper said 'Just do it! Once a week look into the hive and get used to the bees." Yep. Within a short time I was perfectly comfortable with the hive inspection. I continue to watch videos like yours and keep learning. The more I learn the easier it gets.

Leaving a comment as asked.
I took a beginning beekeeping class last weekend. It was a complete waste of money. Instead of ordering bees and supplies I felt like I didn’t want bees anymore. Just came across your channel and wow! I feel the fire back to have bees and am learning so much more from these videos than the expensive class. Will be taking your online course! Thank you for sharing the passion for bees and helping us learn.

New people love watching your videos. Well so do some of the beekeepers who are not so new. It is apparent that David and Sheri are top of the line for sharing a wealth of information one can only gain from people who have, (David has over 30 years) the experience.
I can not say enough praise for them. People need to watch them to know.
Thank you both, very much

Just wrapping up my 2nd year and I now look forward to my inspections. At first I was always so excited/nervous. Took a few months to get into a kind of "rhythm". I was pleasantly surprised to find one day that I just loaded up my cart and went right out with my purpose and what I wanted done ....it was nice to have that habit. It makes any surprises or problems easier to handle. David, your videos build so much confidence! I watch them as soon as you plunk them out! It is a beautiful day here in the gals are out and messing in the Ultra Bee. Enjoy your evening folks!

When I started beekeeping last year, I learned quickly that I'm not going to have all the answers. I'm lucky to have joined a great bee club that is more than willing to help out newbees. Now, I look forward to inspections just to observe their progress.

Thanks Dave. Great video as always. Last year when I started beekeeping I used your Inspection Guide and it was a great way for me to get my "sea legs" or maybe "bee legs" on getting comfort in knowing (KNOWLEDGE)! ALso, your online classes mixed with local beekeeper feedback/videos made my first year much easier, again, thanks! Finally, your tips for winter management have worked as well. As of today, my bees are still fat/fed, queen-right, and have low mite counts all due to listening to you and being okay with not being perfect. Cheers! Kevin (Cashiers, NC)
