I remember going and watching this whole demonstration. Loved Oshkosh. Couple years in a row now. Bummed it was cancelled this year. I subscribed!

I love the sounds of the engines especially on take off. Some people say this plane is ugly but I believe it’s the coolest looking aircraft and you gotta love the guns in the nose. Plus the missions it has carried out in combat. A true salute to the American patriotism.

I still remember the very first time I saw the A10 (actually a two ship flight). Fort Carson Colorado summer '79 downrange. My Infantry squad were patrolling on a high narrow point between intersecting canyons, when out of the blue the A10's came screaming in slightly below us. They banked left in the canyon and tipped their wings when they saw us waving our arms like crazy! Whoa! We had no idea at the time what these aircraft were. But those low bypass turbofan engines were screaming. Few seconds later we heard the...BRRRTT!
