I raised two black children and they are my race because I am a member of the human race and so are they.

As a black person who was adopted by white parents, thank God! Anyone who has ever survived foster care knows that a permanent family is better! Culture? What culture was I learning in foster care? Thank GOD for my family!

I don’t care the race, every child deserves to be loved and have a family.

Black families adopt white babies, too. It ain’t about skin color. It’s about giving a child a loving home.

I'm a black mother with 3 children by 3 different men. I was a single parent with no support from the daddies. I worked my ass off to take care of my children. I was responsible for my children. Those out there complaining need to shut the hell up. These babies are being adopted by compassionate people, Maybe you all need to learn how to be compassionate.

I am a white man in my 60’s. I was only 2 when my mother died. I had much older sisters but they were already gone by the time I was born. My father hired a black woman named Gloria to take care of me. She raised me right and would give me hugs and discipline in equal measure when I needed it.

My father traveled for business so I spent much of my childhood living in Gloria’s house with her family. She taught me how to cook, how to laugh, how to love and how to pray.

Gloria has been gone almost 20 years. For 3 years thereafter I sank into a deep depression, until I realized at last that I was blessed to have her as the only mother I ever knew. She is with me, always.

Sandfay, you remind me so of Gloria that I watch your videos just for comfort. God bless! ❤

I am a bi-racial child adopted by a white family. I am racially black but culturally white and I am proud to represent the family that loved me enough to take me out of the system and give me a loving family that did not care what race I was. I will skip black culture and pick love all the time. Bro set it on fire.

I'm on the opposite spectrum. I am an older white guy, and I was thrown out of the house by my parents at 13. Had it not been a couple older black men taking me under their wing, and teaching me to make better decisions, I would have ended up in prison, for sure.

You have no business complaining who adopts a child if you’re not willing to adopt them yourself

Imagine being so hateful that you don't want a little kid to be loved and have a family. Shameful.

My niece adopted a black baby a few years ago. She and her husband had waited a while and she called the adoption agency asking for an update. They told her she would have to wait a long time for a white baby. She told them that she never requested black or white or boy or girl. She was angry they assumed she wanted a Caucasian child. The next day they called her with anew born that needed parents. The truth of the matter is most people don’t care about race. That lie is perpetrated to keep us divided.

I'm a white woman whose mother was an abusive alcoholic who hated and resented me. My dad and grandparents hired a wonderful black woman, who generally helped support her family by helping white women with the food when they hosted large gatherings, after I had several "accidents" . She saved my life. After my dad died when I was seven, another amazing black woman did housekeeping for my mother, and had the courage, back in the early 1950's, to step in when my drunk mother tried to beat me...she was with us for years and on the days she was at our house nothing bad happened...God bless her, I miss her to this day. Mothering has nothing to do with race.

I adopted 5 black children out of foster care. They were all in black foster families. When those families were asked to adopt them, they said no, because once adopted they would no longer be getting that foster care check. My five are all happy and healthy young adults now, with the youngest in her last year of college. I just love them so much!!

We are a white family who adopted a black child. I was raised not to see color. Once we adopted my baby, we were singled out and criticized by black women at Target over her clothes and how I did her hair. But forget us. She has been bullied about being too white. It is still very hard on her. Would I do it again? Absolutely! She is my precious baby girl and I love her!

If there are black babies available then why aren't the black people adopting the black babies. At least some white people wanted to give a child a good loving home.

I’m a Chinese-adoptee woman adopted by a Caucasian couple. I was adopted overseas because they wanted to care for my four younger Chinese-adoptee brothers and me. They never thought too hard about race when they adopted us. I don't stare at my parents and think, “Why did white people from another country adopt me?” I'm glad they adopted me and gave me a better life. If my brothers and I didn't get adopted before 14, we would have been left for the streets.
