Visiting The Goonies House in Astoria

Astoria, Oregon! An Epic town full of amazing west coast history, from the native Americans to the Astor Expedition, Britain, and early American settlers - Incredible Architecture, Columbia river views... but no matter what else the town is known for one thing will always reign supreme to every kid who grew up in the 80s and beyond... THE GOONIES! Astoria plays a starring role as the Goondocks, and one filming location above all stands as an icon of Astoria and every 80s kids treasure hunting fantasy... The Goonies house!

We already filmed the Goonies filming locations in a previous episode, including the Fratelli's hideout located in Ecola State Park (which we return to by daylight to once again reiterate the true hideout location, despite what's seen online) BUT Back then, the previous owner of the landmark Goonies house was none-too-friendly about Goonies walking up the private driveway. But now the Goonies House has a new owner, a true Goonie like the rest of us, who much to some of the neighbors chagrin (for reason's we'll see) has finally opened up the Goonies house (exterior) to respectful visitors!

These Episodes are impossible without your support!

OR, check out the sick MERCH!

It takes an outsider to help you appreciate the place you call home. I'm an 80s kid myself. The Goonies really is something special to us. That was our time. Our time! Thank you for visiting. I hope you come back again.

When you were at the restaurant site, did you look for remnants of the building, for footings, foundations ? Summer restaurant !? Looks like it hasn't been opened for ten summers !

Do you want to sponser a game in Astoria?? I saw your video and you wanted to know how much it cost, the price is 400.00, hope that's helpful. I live in Astoria. I was waiting for that cranky old witch to come outside,
