DIY Large Cement Orb Using Rope

I made this really cool cement orb using some rope and cement mix. This is perfect for adding a sculptural element to any landscape design. Should I explore this further?

I just love it! I'm going to try it and yes with lights for more flair. I think that I 'm also going to use a cotton cloth line because I think that it will suck up the cement better.

Easter Eggs with the same technique, only inflated balloons and embroidery thread in various colors + diluted white glue. Delightful!

Personally, I like to deflate the ball after the first set on the second day. After removing the ball, mix the cement and then dip and roll the string ball, making sure it's all covered. Give it a good shake and then hang on a rope to dry. Dip as many times as you wish. Mix different size balls for a beautiful contemporary look.

I absolutely love all your cement decorations for outdoors. The porch pirates and thieves steal everything you leave outside, the least we can do is make it hard for them. If it's larger, heavier or in any way awkward for them to transport they won't steal it, it's too much like work. Your pieces are very nice and with built in loss prevention.😊 I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Great job‼️👍 Seriously creative. I’ve done this with the small ones for indoor decor n used watered down Mod Podge or Elmers school glue. They turned out great n I still have them years later. 😊

This looks amazing! When you say it took longer than expected, I'm wondering how long exactly. Your voice kinda said something there.
You actually got the ball out in one piece? I can see me losing patience and just hacking it out. Yes deflated, but not in one piece 😂. I'm still gonna try a I've always thought these were incredible and I need something cool for my front lawn. I'm not one to buy stuff being resourceful and an artist.
