A question I get asked all the time is: Are there any "secret ingredients"?

I have to tell you about my latest obsession: psyllium husk.

Adults should aim for 25-30 grams of fiber per day, and that's harder than it may seem. Because even if you eat a salad every day for lunch, you likely still need more fiber.

Psyllium husk is such an easy addition to your morning smoothie; it’s flavorless and it adds about 5 grams of fiber per teaspoon svg. (I add two tsps to mine.)This makes your same smoothie thicker, creamier and helps you feel satisfied longer.

You might be wondering: Is there a catch?

Sort of. But I think of it as another added benefit. When you increase fiber do it slowly and remember you MUST increase your fluids too—absolutely no exceptions.

Aim for 64-80 oz of water per day.
