I’ve been meaning to do a 2020 version of this tag too. Uh...I couldn’t stand Celeana(spelling ?) either. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t connect with Maas. I got rid of all her books except for the one a friend gave me ❤️

I felt the same way about Cardan at the end of TCP but now I am a Cardan stan lmao Also the second book in that series was my favorite. Def don't waste your time on ACOTAR. The main plot is being mates and males and females. It aint all that. I loved doing this tag too! So fun

I liked the second book in the ACATAR series (first and third books not much) but I gave up after the third book because I was very tired of the word "mate", I tried to count it but there were soooo many :)

I also didn't like Celeana in ToG! I don't really like any Sarah J Maas. (i somehow managed to read almost the entire ToG series but it was like watching a car crash I didn't enjoy 90% of it, and I read the first two ACOTARs and liked those even less maybe?) God that Not Like Other Girls trope is the WORST. if Vin can do it! Vin is Everything honestly. Yeah I would...not recommend ACOTAR for you. 😂 This tag was fun, great job. - Bree

I just finished The Queen if Nothing and I loved those books for the book candy they were, but I can 100% understand why you hated it. Jude and Carden’s relationship is trash. 🙄

Honestly ACOTAR is only worth reading for the glory that is ACOMAF. So if it’s not pulling you in, it’s not worth struggling through that whole first book in my opinion.

How much you hate the Cruel Prince, makes me want to read it lol 😂I have a tough time with romance contemporary, if it's not a unique perspective it feels soooo boring.

I've never understood people who like the "romance" in The Cruel Prince. The series literally could have been done without it. I personally never understood Ron and Hermione as a couple, and I think Celaena (?) is overwhelmingly arrogant and annoying. I don't read a lot of contemporary either, unless it's darker or has hard hitting stuff in it. If it's just like high school drama I'm really not interested.

I enjoyed The Cruel Prince when I read it, but I think I was just swept up in the hype. Looking back, I don’t think it was a good book. I was an unpopular opinion with ACOTAR and didn’t care for it. I never continued past book one!

I didn't disagree with any of these opinions lol. I think the A Court of Thorns and Roses is the worst of Maas so if you didn't like Throne of Glass then you better not bother with it haha
