I was getting out of school *just* as cellphones were becoming a thing. I feel like I narrowly escaped the zombification of the younger generations, and I don’t regret it one bit. I have a phone, I use one (typing this on it right now), but I don’t *overuse* it. It’s like a toilet—I prefer to have one over not, use it regularly, but I’m not constantly on it, and never when I’m with people!

I once gave driving lessons to a teenager. I showed her the phone-holder that was built into the car. It's called the "trunk." I had to insist she put her phone away back there, because she was always texting. Even while riding her bicycle!!! Of course I lectured her about texting while driving.
I hope she never killed anyone.

O mais irônico é que justamente a geração que vive imersa na tecnologia é a mesma que não sabe usar o básico do pacote Microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint) pra trabalhar.

I prefer books! That said, I do read books on my phone, so... 😆

My son didn't get a phone until he was out of highschool. Till this day he hardly used his phone. Only for work and to check how I'm doing.

I'm a teacher in Argentina. Yesterday, I just have talked to my students about how important is for them to desconnect from their phones during class time. At least, to have a time away from those phones. They seem addicted to them.
