(1271) Challenge: Steel Pinning's Securit Baby

preview_player
Показать описание
In this video I pick open the "securit baby" challenge lock send in by Steel Pinnings. After the opening, I gut the lock to show you all of its secrets.
Whipped videos highlight custom made locks sent to the LockLab as a challenge. They contain innovative modifications, unique security designs, and careful craftsmanship. Challenge lock design is difficult, to say the least, but many LockSporters excel in lock design and hand craftsmanship. Because there is such innovation among LockSporters, many manufacturers pay attention to the WHIPPED videos and incorporate the security techniques into their own locks.

There is only ONE RULE: The key must work. You are free to cover up the key to prevent me from seeing it until after I successfully pick (or fail to pick) the lock. I will make THREE 10-minute attempts (down from six 10-minute attempts in April 2018). If I fail to open it in that time, it will become a WHIPPED video. If you are interested in sending a challenge lock, please use this address:

Beautiful pick Bill,
I am glad you liked it...
The pins in that one are all homemade.
The sparrows looking pin is my renditionof noobs design, as well as the ASSA style one in 6 is my take on an ASSA pin.
Kinda makes me a copy cat of sorts... but stick with what works. Lol

Well didn't get a whipped out of it. But was AWESOME to what you pick it !!!
Thanks for sharing,
Loved it all😘

Nice Job Steel Pinnings! Heck of a compliment when Bill mistakes your pins for commercial pins! The top pin, in number 5 looks a bit like a mini stanley cup! Beautiful stuff, and excellent pick Bill, so much fun to watch you work.

Nice idea with 2 springs, 1 for each element of the pin-in-pin.

Putting a little mark on the lock both inspires and disappoints me. Love that little trick, disappointed in myself I've never clued into it before.

British standard kite mark show that the pins are good fits. Excellent

nice work. If those key pins are home made you did an excellent job. Either way, good implementation and I particularly like the "pagoda" pin.

Hey Bill. Thanks for suggesting PanaVise in one of your previous videos. I recently bought one, albeit not the one you have. I don't have a large work space and it's always changing depending on what I am doing. I bought the one with the vacuum base and it has been great.
