oh man. i feel this. for different reasons- we had family in town for 2 weeks and then had an out of town trip and then? i managed to get a cold. whomp whomp. All of my coloring plans have been sitting dormant this last week or so. I feel like when i have a slump it's because i'm trying to force something so at that point i allow myself to put this aside (the project or coloring in general) and just do other things. That said, i dont have the pressure of a channel! The reason I don't do specific buddy colors and such is because as soon as I feel i "have to do it' all my mojo goes away. Love this page and background you did (and can't wait to see the one from the fairies.. whenever that gets done)

Erica, I do the same thing sometimes. I currently need to be working on a page from Emilie Lidehall Oberg’s new book for a group buddy color, and I even have an idea for the colors, but I can’t get started. I’m completely frozen. Sometimes I can snap out of it by doing a fun, simple marker page to try to keep myself coloring. Today I am going to make myself do the background with watercolor. I think I get frozen for several reasons. With a page in a special book, I’m afraid of messing up the page, I can’t figure out a color palette or how to incorporate the colors; I overplan what I want to accomplish for the month, etc. I recently found out that I’m autistic and I have the characteristics of ADHD, and I am the biggest procrastinator. I am trying to learn to be patient with myself. 😂 I love how these two pages are looking together. I’m hoping to color at least one of them. I hope you have a great visit with your son. My husband, daughter and I are planning to go visit our son in Austin next weekend.

Amazing as always! I'm just getting to that point in my colouring career where i'm confident enough to truly play around with water mediums. I own an iron like an adult (...a debate for another day... since its only ever been used for art...) and if that doesn't work i really don't mind the crinkles anyway. The results are so stunning if you're willing to be daring enough! You've been one of those whom has helped me gain that confidence!

Love it! It turned out great! When you added the white neocolor 2 to the finished page is it activated or left dry? I tried to find the technique on Jen’s page but couldn’t. Thanks so much for all your work on this series and your weekend wips! Don’t be hard on yourself about the latest monster mash video. I’m completely the same way! It’s like you hit a wall and you just cannot make your brain do it. You made this guy with the Color palette so you’re still accomplishing your goals and making beautiful art for the series! Have an amazing trip!

I always work on 3 or 4 pages at the same time. When I don't know how to go on with a page I go to the next and come back later. Thank you for sharing, I love your weekend wips 😊🤗
