Dream team cant keep being brought up in these conversations. They never once faced teams with this level of talent internationally. The teams they faced would also get destroyed by this team. People are too stuck in the past and so biased they ignore facts. The global popularity of basketball has grown in the last 30 years. Part of that was due to the dream team, but again that team NEVER played talent on the level that exist internationally today. Thats not even a debate. As the game of basketball grows internationally and people outside of America prioritize the sport to the same degree we do, the playing field will continue to be leveled. People just refuse to accept reality

In the past USA olympic team, you won't see a 39 or 40 year-old playing with that intensity and leading the team with so much passion. This team can really blast all opponents once they really move the ball and find free teammates as all these players can score massively any given day. Also the only bad thing for this team is Kerr. You can throw in other coaches there and this team will be on another level😊

Curry fan here... This trio cannot be considered great until they win the ultimate prize -a gold medal. Only then can we begin to compare them to other great trios. And still, the original dream team offers several trios that rival Curry, KD and Lebron.

Okay, I think commenters lack perspective. The 92 dream team didn't have any competition to play against, in reality, the teams they were playing against they were fans(I mean its the first time the nba superstars actually were able to compete in the Olympics, before it was just college players). You had forieng teams on the bench taking pictures😂 (you aint seein that these days hahah that fan stuff out the window because now they actually over here!). Get this, the team that was runner up to the 92 usa was Croatia becuse they had the most nba active players WHICH WAS 3! These days that's the least. There are now 4-5 nba players on every team and they aren't scrub players either. The reason why the dream team was formed was because the foreign teams were starting to stomp us, and that's with less nba talent on those teams. Teams around the world now have played in the nba and have nba training and conditioning. Of course, we won't be blowing them out like back then when they didn't have nba training and experience. 92 team was phenomenal and i am not taking nothing from them but let's be honest, their competition WAS TRASH COMPARED TO THESE DAYS! Stop comparing because it's a total noncomparison in view of talent. The debate is stupid comparing the two teams. It's just media crack to compare the two. It's time to sober up.

The dream team played against teams who had never seen any of the dream team players play an actual game. Back in the 1990s, NBA games were not widely broadcast all over the world. Due yo NBA league pass, anybody can watch every game. That was not the case back then.
