Greetings from Canada ! Wow we used to get Lada's here in Canada back in the 80s and 90s. The Lada 1500/Signets and Niva's seemed pretty sturdy vehicles back in the day .

Prices of such cars are very similar to the USA. 4 years ago, I bought my daughter Mitsubishi Mirage for USD 12.000 and today the same car costs USD 16.000. I remember seeing Lada cars coming into Germany in 1991 because many people from the former Soviet Union looked for jobs there. Soviet era Ladas were very simple cars with not so many options like today.

I just love that they are selling standard transmissions. Not many new stick shifts in the US anymore. I love standard transmissions.

Most US city people prefer Japanese cars Toyota and Honda and very little domestic cars and country side people prefer big powerful domestic pick up truck, wonder what most popular cars Russians own.

Ladas were good, sturdy, reliable, and cheap cars... back in the 1990s. Over here in South America there are still some Nivas running around.

It was interesting to know how the sales values of cars from brands such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Wolkswagen, among others that are conditioned by the sanctions, are doing. If there are cars in stock for sale, if not, is it possible to order them and how long does it take etc... how is the parts market for these brands? It is because the Russian car park today is mostly made up of cars from western brands and or from countries that are sanctioning Russia for the WAR in Ukraine and not for Ladas; which, in the long term, should definitely be in the majority.

I love 2000's cars, the pefect cars, modern cars really sucks headlights and bumpers are became very expensive and cost fortune to replace, also they are unreliable with 3 cylinder turbocharged and direct fuel injection, two months ago my brother bought a brand new Iranian car called IKCO Runna which is based on old Peugeot 206 with 1.6 4cyl engine 115hp french engine for just 13k, really good, I think Lada cars could make success in Asia and Africa if they make simple cars with nice fuel efficiency and cheap parts...

Are the Cars from Iran being sold in Russia yet ? I have no doubt the BRICS will be the dominant suppliers to the Russian market, that goes for the Truck market and the Construction machine market . Thanks for sharing………..Abe ( uk )
