At the beginning of the video I already knew you wanted to reread HP because the boxset is almost empty on your shelf haha! I am currently rereading HP as well. I'm in book 4 now. They are just... perfect!

"Hogwarts is my home" is how I feel whenever I reread them haha! I also have been wanting to do a reread of Harry Potter but I have been trying to do it for the past two years that I've only read the first two. So I think I'll start on the third book. Also I've only read the 7th book once and that was the day it came out so yeah.... Lol there are also other rereads I want to do like The Girl of Fire and Thorns series

I never used to reread books, either. This year, I'm tackling Trainspotting and Porno by Irvine Welsh (I haven't read Trainspotting since I was in my mid-teens... The moment I opened up that book, it was like I was back with some really really old friends. It's weirdly comforting). Also, starting last year, I've been reading the Harry Potter series to my sons, which has been going slow and is full of me saying "this is a really good part!" I'm amazed we're nearly halfway through the series, honestly.

Good luck with your rereads!

I love The Book Thief, I got it from my primary school in year 6 as a leaving present (my school gives a book to children when they leave for high school, it's a pretty cool tradition - I now work there part time and love seeing the new books that each year are going to get). The only time I've ever heard someone personally say anything bad about it was when my nan borrowed it from me last year - she said she got confused at points, but it was good. I loved it so much I bought it for my friend in 2012 for her birthday, and she called me up and well I won't say what she said as I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But I will say despite what she said down the phone she loved it and then went out and bought it for one of her other friends for their Christmas presents.
So if you haven't read it but are thinking about I suggest you definitely pick it up it's an amazing read! 😀

I periodically re-read The Handmaid's Tale and I always come away with a new experience. I hope you enjoy your re-reads! 🙂

I had a very similar reading experience rereading Harry Potter. I am almost done with the 7th book and I've enjoyed rereading books six and seven so much! I've probably only read them each twice the whole way through. This was amazing. I hope you enjoy your rereads as much!

Yes for "The Book Thief"! It is such a good read. This book literally drained me bad emotionally.

Just finished "The Series of Unfortunate Events" Jan16. And I'm still reading book 3 of HP. Have fun!

Cheers to that Regan!I'm more of a rereader than I am a reader.Statistically I read more books that I've already read than new ones each year, but that's because I feel like it.I love rereading stories that mean so much to me.
I won't stop recommending you the "The Incorrigible Optimists Club" please go and check it out.You are going to love it.It's everything you love!

I'm hoping to reread The Book Thief as well! I haven't read it since like eighth grade, I think. I'm also planning on reading the His Dark Materials series because that series really helped influence my thinking when I was younger, and I'm curious to see how it would affect me now.

I've never read "The Book Thief" but I'll take care of that this year!!
You are actually right! I should do the same as you about the HP series. Because just like you I read the first one about 10 times and the last only 2 or 3! I'll think about that quite seriously!! But I think I'll read only the 6th and 7th since those two were the ones I read least times.
Thank you for sharing! :)

Ohh, now I want to re-read A Series of Unfortunate Events now. I'm planning on re-reading Jane Eyre this year. April is Charlotte Bronte's 200th birthday, so I'm thinking that'll be the month. :D

I totally understand what you mean about feeling like you are back at home whenever you read the Harry Potter books. I just finished re-reading the first harry potter book for my first time and it was such an amazing experience. I was reminded why I love Harry Potter stories so much and how unique J.K. Rowling's writing is.

I totally agree, Harry Potter feels like home. I reread these just before Christmas. Book 7 made me cry quite a few times, which has never happened to me before. I find each rereading gives me a different experience! Enjoy your rereading :)

I have the same problem! 90% of the books that I claim are my favorite books of all time I have only read once. I plan on rereading The Lovely Bones, but I come to a stalemate on choosing another one to read because I want to reread them all!
