Another possible topic to consider when comparing brokers - trade confirmations and tax reporting. I’d be interested to know who makes these things easier.

I like Schwab because of their customer service. When I first opened an account there, i was calling two three times a week with some embarrassingly dumb questions but customer service was always polite, friendly, knowledgable. They really went out of their way to help me find my way around. I also like their research tools and their "Street Smart Edge" trading platform can be set up anyway you want it. I keep mine simple with a few basic tools and so far no complaints. I have used two other big name brokers on this list and when i didn't have a big account, i didn't get good customer service and for me, customer service, especially the ability to reach a real person fairly quickly, who speaks English well and knows what they're talking about or can connect me to someone who does quickly, is why I am with Schwab.

I had 500 dollars in a investing account and I didn't know how to work it at all. A few years later, it went down to 130 dollars. I decided that I am going to try to make that money back, so here I am. Wish me luck!

Instant deposit credit is a must have in my opinion. Unfortunately, Charles Schwab doesn't give instant deposit credit for invest. I go with Fidelity too.

I wish you would make a video letting people know where all these brokers are regulated, that’s something to keep in mind above anything else

For future videos like these it would be great if you included which platforms allow fractional share investing

I like using Fidelity because of the zero commission fee for OTC stocks. Tried Firstrade but the trading interface feels outdated and customer service was not that great. It took 2 months to close my account with Firstrade completely for some reason.

Too bad TD Ameritrade has been bought out by Schwab. I'm still doing a wait and see about them and if they'll move over a lot of TD's features or get rid of them.

Wish TD Ameritrade would stay by themselves and not go with Schwab.

I read (on the internet) that Robinhood had 1 out of 6000 accounts hacked and that they were the worst, so when Charls Schwab told me that I could get rid of some of the security on my computer to make it faster I passed on that. Most of what I do is on Fidelity, and they won't allow a trade under $3 without a phone call and it is just not worth it. For donating money (I expect to lose it all) I use Charls Schwab for throwing money at SOLO and FUV. With Fidelity, I only trade on my work phone, and it is an LLC account also, and I only use 4K since the internet gets hacked so easily. If anyone knows stats on safety on 4K let me know if it is as safe as I think it is.

IB has a caveat to their $0 trading of US stocks and ETFs. If a trade exceeds 10% of your monthly average trading, they charge $.005/share. That needs some unpacking to fully understand, but I’m not loving the added layer of complexity.

Sofi now has options and early ipo trading. It's a lot better than when this video was released.
