I was born in the 1950's grew up in the 60s 70s and 80s. Morphed in the 90s due to modern pharmacology, and now on cruise control. This song is on the soundtrack of my life. They were great live. Peace and Love.

You know a song's perfect when it doesn't feel like you've spent any time listening to it, you're just soaking in the details and "moment" is an immeasurable amount of time.

December 2023 and it still sounds just as fresh as when I first heard in 1977.

We all build our own little fantastical worlds in our head, we all over-romanticize, some more than others. Steely Dan perfectly captured that delusion in a song. What a classic.

My ex and I used to bump Steeley Dan on our booming stereo when I had cancer because I enjoy the beautiful molodies🎶
We sadly divorced, but I love him to this day and moment
🫂🎵😢🙏🏼🕊🎶❤️

Released in 1977. I swear 1977 was a land mark year in so many ways. Glad I was there.

"They got a name for the winners in the world. I want a name when I lose. They call Alabama the Crimson Tide. Call me Deacon Blues." Some the greatest lyrics... ever.

It's the best track, from their best LP. I've always loved it!
I always called Steely Dan's music "Thinking man's rock" because their lyrics were always so good.
