COVID cases rising across U.S., according to levels detected in wastewater

The wastewater viral activity level for COVID-19 is high and very high in 26 states right now, according to the CDC, with more than 70% of illnesses stemming from a highly contagious COVID strain known as the FLiRT variant. Andrew Pekosz is the professor and vice chair of molecular microbiology and immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He joined CBS News to talk about the spike in cases.

I got Covid for the 1st time ever on 7/12/24. I had a horrible sore throat. My pharmacy was out of Covid tests. I ended up going to Urgent Care on 7/15/24. I tested positive. I was really sick with a severe sore throat and coughing and sinus issues. Ached all over. I was miserable. They ordered me Paxlovid and I've been in bed for the past week and a half and I am now feeling a little better. I plan on testing again on 7/26/24 to see if I am Covid clear. I do not wish this on anyone. I've been vaccinated over the past several years and I will continue to get additional vaccinations as necessary.

During COVID-19 doctors were literally fighting over limited supplies in hospitals but I don’t know if it was just China or the whole world but the one time this was based on a true thing that happened during Covid -19 the doctors were fighting over an oxygen tank because both of their patients needed it but before it escalated all over the world some of the doctors didn’t know what was going on all the patient started having all these symptoms but the doctor gonna figure it out so they spent days and weeks and and probably even months even months to figure out what this disease was and the worst part they couldn’t see their families or friends most of them had to sleep in their cars and some of them couldn’t even let anybody in their house because they didn’t know what this was doctors were scared for their lives but they just decided to name it COVID-19 without knowing the disease they thought it was a pneumonia virus but people started showing other symptoms and they were lost and confused and they literally it broke me when I seen a doctor cried after a meeting with the CDC of China it made me wanna wear a mask again to protect others but the worst part is doctors will get COVID-19 through mask just passing out on the floor and some doctors were literally crying every minute they could because they didn’t know what was happening they couldn’t figure this out somewhat somewhere on the verge of quitting their job or even worse case scenarios committing suicide and even people who are going to retire had to stay in the medical field because they were also trying to figure out what this virus was they did not know what this virus was these doctors were like they probably just gonna make a vaccine that’s not gonna even work if gonna make it worse they were really
Like losing their patience I’ve never seen this before in heath care system
