I've gone by 30-33 are the early thirties, 34-36 are the mid thirties, 37-39 are the late thirties

For me, it blows me away thinking about it. My son and I are the same age difference as my dad and I. I’m always comparing the “when I was my sons age, my dad was xxx and now I’m xxx vs my dad” - kind of hard to explain in a TLDR lol

35 is halfway between 30 and 40. It's directly on the middle, hence why 35 is MID thirties

It's easy, divide those ten years in half, 30-34 is early thirties, 35-39 is late thirties.

Saying mid thirties would be more accurate. But if it the choices were either early or late, then 35 fits early thirties better. Even 36 I dont think is thought of as late 30s.

When my mom was in her 30s (all throughout my teens) the entire time I'd say, "Nah she's in her twenties, idk what you're talking about". Now she's turned 40, and I'm not a teen anymore, but I always say, "Nah she turned 30 and has been the same ever since". I'm gunna throw a curveball when she turns fifty and just go back to "Nah she's twenty." She's not gunna be in her 50s until she's 80.
