Hi, being a German 991.1 Carrera S owner and searching for a nice air
cooled model, I really appreciated your overview and all the numbers and
facts. Especially for someone who is a little bit more into 911 in
general this and the other videos are great to watch. Thank's for your
effort!! It seems that there are more Porsche enthusiasts in the US / UK than in the motherland of the brand.

Great summary! 993 is the best looking Porsche ever made. Absolutely stunning. Even the new models try to duplicate its looks but there can be only one.

Just bought a 1996 993 Carrerra in Iris blue with marble grey leather sports seats. Came with the 6-speed manual box, sunroof and rear wiper(set up for LHD! as usual). Been looking for that exact spec for about 10 years! Came up on Pistonheads early in September and I snapped it up straight away for a very good price. Had to drive up to Yorkshire to get it, but worth the trip. Been out for a quick blast today with the missus, even she said 'I like the colour', praise indeed! Like the vids, keep them coming! Cheers from Neil in a very rainy Sevenoaks...

Thanks for the interesting summary of 993 model range. As of me I owe a 993 cabriolet, 1996, 3rd owner and truly 73'000 KM on the tachometer. Maybe not the most wanted, but I love driving open and listen to the best of all 911 engine noises!

Thanks...well done and very complete. My 95 993 was a simple no frills coupe...and it was great. Maybe if I had to settle for just one car for the rest of my life, that would be it. Though my 996.1 C4 is proving to be a very close second (among Porsches). A 246 Dino coupe would be also hare to pass up. Happy New Year.

Well done, great summary.
I absolutely love my 993Turbo, even more than my 997GT3 (manual)! One of the best Porsche's that they have ever built!!

.. it is primarily about the SOUND that air cooled engine have, which many Porsche enthusiasts prefer

I got a beautiful 1889 arena red cab for 25, 000, because it is a tip. It is a special wishes car from the factory and is loaded with options. It is in near concourse condition, with the exception of needing a new top. I have modified it with BBS 88 track wheels with wider 235 and 275 x 18 pilot super sports and Bilstien PS10 suspension, RS splitters, side skirts and small lip for the retractable spoiler

Kind of glossed over the 993 Targa which is a shame because it had the beautiful split rim alloys. Mine was a 1998 Midnight Blue with Grey. Originally wanted one in Arena Red but I saw mine, fell in love with it, and owned it for 5 years. Appreciation in value in that time convinced me to trade up to 2010 Cosmos Black with Black 997.2 Targa 4S and it's all the car I'll ever need. Now it's 10 years old and still only 32k miles with no issues ever. I love it. Incidentally an acquaintance of mine owns one of the 5 993 turbo cabriolets that you mention finished in mesmerising special order metallic purple with grey and he still drives it with passion having bought it from a very rich banker when prices hadn't become so scary.

993 turbo is the most beautiful turbo ever produced. Perfect from every angle, esp the rear

I almost made the mistake of purchasing a 996. When I mentioned that I was saving money to buy one to the owners of the shop that was repairing my audi, they just looked at me and went back to talking to each other. At that moment I decided to follow my dream and get an air cooled 993. Maybe I should go back and thank them.

The 4S 100% is the best and 2S second. Those who has driven at high speed in a highway will understand that the 4S is the best of the line up. that extra weight and grip upfront is a must have

I'd opt for either a 91 turbo s or 992 turbo s

Watching this video 2.5 years later, and to hear that a 993 could have been purchased with about $40k makes me weep.
They regularly go for $100k+ now

Great Video and summary. But I have a 993 4S built in 1996. So your list at the end is not accurate. It shows, there where no 993 4S in 1996, which is not correct.

You should create a book that shows your graphs and facts w pictures of different examples
That would be cool
