NSW nurses and midwives strike over pay

Thousands of nurses and midwives are picketing public hospitals across New South Wales for the next 24 hours, demanding nurse-to-patient ratios and a bigger pay rise.

There is expected to be a total of 2,000 nurses appearing outside Westmead Hospital over the 24 hours.
