This is the story of a Praying mantis which was born in the dry grasslands of Southern Italy, close to Matera, the town which will be European capital of culture in 2019. Matera is home to thousands of Lesser Kestrels which hunt insects in the Mediterranean steppes, together with Rollers. The Mantis has to face Black widow spider, frightening Saga pedo crickets and lots of enemies which inhabit the banks of the river with no water.
