Nice ford in a ford. 460 are really under rated. Easy HP from 460 like this. Reliable for over a decade of racing awesome. Thanks for share

Gotta love a race car that can go 11 years without an engine refresh! Can see how by his passes. He leaves at fairly low RPM and uses the engines torque instead. Much easier on parts than a high RPM launch. The car goes straight as a string and is dead nuts consistent. Car would be deadly for bracket racing without big $ invested. Very well thought out and put together build!

Great stuff! N.A. big block, big cowl, Welds… If that car and driver set-up was any more old school there’d be a real horse involved.

Back in the 80's, there was a rivalry written up in the car magazines for king of the street. King was a 426 hemi Cuda with tunnel ram and two dominator carbs, running a lenco transmisssion. It was finally beaten by a Mustang II with a 460 stroked to 505 cubes, running SCJ heads. Magazine said the Ford ran 10 flat.

Nice video, I have been running a bit fox for almost 20 years on the same set up and haven't had to pull the motor. Thank for giving a big car some attention

I have a buddy with a 460 fox. They are definitely a fun combo. I remember watching videos of the "tick turd". Ratty brown coupe with a 460. Now I have to go look up some videos lol!

Guy that did a lot of the mechanic work on a friend's Fox body (his name was Courtney, maybe?) built a 460 Fox body in the early 1990's. He picked up a low miles 85 or 86 GT that needed a motor and a 70's Lincoln Town Car for a donor. 150 shot of nitrous and it hauled ass.
