One question: how much does really height of the cajon impact its sound? For some people standard 18" might be quite uncomfortable to sit on. I imagine that any reduction in volume of the acoustic chamber will reduce the amount of low end. It's not entirely clear to me if the pitch will go up aswell as we're reducing the longest dimension. Anyway: can we still get a sensible bass sound from 15" tall cajons?
