He was one of those very few players that made others around them better... players like Maradona, Ronaldinho and Zidane. He himself confessed that he just enjoyed football and didn't take it as seriously as others did. If only he took it half as serious as C. Ronaldo, everyone would still be calling him one of the GOATS, unfortunately, by the time he saw the seriousness of it, he was already approaching 30 plus. I think after watching this video, I realized that when a club buys Jay Jay, they get a big boost but not the trophy. He is the player that balances up a squad but the club needs to buy the other player to score the goals and make them win the trophies. He had a Ronaldo like impact on all clubs he went to with his transfers at the later stages of his career. If Bolton had better strikers, they would have won a trophy. PSG needed a better striker than Anelka.
