Easily one of the most skillful players that ever played the game. Such a joy to watch. So good they named him twice 😂

I'm not even from africa, but i regard him the best of the best of all time in terms of skills and talents. when i started watching football, the legendary players like maradona and pele were no longer playing.

beckham, scholes, cantona made me love football and man utd, but okocha is the greatest dribbler I've seen growing up. i idolized him, and started to watch bolton matches and learned about their other great players like campo, juusi, nolan, davies.

i know he's retired years ago, but this man has never gotten the recognitions he so deserved. thank you for the years of entertainment, Mr. African Magician! ♥️

He is the most underrated African player, in my opinion he was and still remain the best attacking midfielder Africa ever had.just like Eto and Drogba if they were born in Brazil or Europe the story could have been different.

He does something which I haven’t seen other players do. He’s able to strike through the ball in a way that it is able to go far without rising too high. It soars through the air maintaining the same height it is amazing!

The man who even Ronaldinho called, His Idol. I was honoured to meet him in person during the AFCON in Egypt. What a humble ever smiling guy. A genius in football

Jay Jay's dribbling and control were awesome. I am a Liverpool supporter but would often go to Bolton matches just to watch him. Like Ronaldinho, he would beat defenders for fun.

Okocha made even his opposing supporters to enjoy the game. I am a Cameroonian and the day we played the finals against Nigeria in 2000 I supported Cameroon and Jay jay okocha.

The most fearless player, never afraid to approach the moments because he knew he will dribble his way through. Gave some of the most iconic passes and assist in the sport. Okocha was more than talented

Even after long retirement period, I think Okocha still deserves an award from the international bodies. He is really a motivation for the younger generation and excitement for older generation.

I thank God who gave me the opportunity to watch this inimitable maestro in his heyday. In this guy the Nigerian national team was blessed with a genius of the very highest calibre, unsurpassed and unexampled in football artistry, absolutely magical, a virtuoso performer, an indescribable pleasure to watch. This guy was a generational talent, the football equivalent of a Mozart or Beethoven. We might never see such a prodigy again. I doff my hat to Jay Jay Okocha.

This guy was more than a genius. He was a phenomenon. A very rare kind of player that emerges once in several decades or even a century. And even after retirement, he is still dazzling the world in invitational matches for Football greats till today . He is definitely among the top greatest players of all time. And I am so glad I had the honor and privilege to be alive to witness his wonderful phenomenal skills. 👏👏👏👏

In my country growing up as kids in his era we regarded him better than maradona.

funny to see that, the same passing style that made Modric iconic in the champions league, Okocha did it often lol

So the moment in the match against Brazil Ronaldinho didn't go marking him again after Jay Jay rolled the ball away, he knows it was a waste of time, he just reiterated from going close🤣🤣

Esse cara jogava muita bola. Tinha muita visão de jogo, fazia lançamentos espetaculares e driblava muito bem.

One of the best football players in the African continent and perhaps in the world. Still one of my favourite players in African.I mean it. Hello there, here's Sénégal 🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳👌👍

Now we barely see players dribble and do long shots. The game is so boring now with restrictive tactical schemes

These type of midfielders are now the most in demand in football. Creative players that are confident and press resistant on the ball. Can dribble and drive the attack, never afraid of receiving the ball, could break organized midfields single-handedly, even if he sees 3 midfielders he will take on them and create space for his teammates. Pep Guardiola would have done wonders with him
