Bowser would’ve been a decent pick....him or DK, as both are pretty darn straight forward, have no need to chase off stage due to their mid stage KO power, have normal recovery moves that require no aiming (like Fox or Pikachu) and have no sort of gimmick to them (like Clouds Limit Break or Robins magic spells)

They might be considered “slow” characters, but that’s their only real downside, both should be considered first picks to newcomers. They’re both heavy which means more punishment can be taken. They’re both about as straightforward as it gets

5. Sonic (Because I Love It When He Transforms Into Super Sonic And He’s The Fastest In Smash Ultimate)

My first main smash Bros is Bowser Jr he has 8 chapters as his styles and those are his siblings not just look makes him cool also the weapons

Pikachu is a really technical character, it's only beginner friendly if the other players also have no idea what they are doing and spamming thunder actuall hits the opponent

As a belmont main i wouldnt recommend them for beginners unless the players they are against are also beginners. higher level play with belmonts (especially in elite) require some focused precision and timing as they are easy combo food for most other characters, are very slow and have lots of frames waiting after most attacks, have some horrifying matchups against smaller and quicker characters, and it can get very difficult to recover.

Bowser is easily one of the best beginner characters. He's heavy, allowing safer fights. He has crazy kill potential on his slower attacks, which teaches set-ups and reads. He has a crazy powerful advantage state attack in side-b (bowsercide dunking is sweeeet). His punishable weight combined with his great grab game teaches stage control.
