Amen brother. I haven’t come across this topic in quite a while but you are absolutely right. The whole premise of waiting for a deathbed confession is filled with pride because it includes the presumption you will even have a deathbed. A car crash, accidental drowning, sudden heart attack, etc will mean you have no opportunity.

Can you truly repent on your death bed? Sure, it's possible. Of course, you are presuming an awful lot. First, you're presuming you're actually going to have a deathbed and you know when you're going to die. Secondly, you are presuming after living your entire life (since the age of accountability) in sin that you're actually going to be able to sincerely repent after sinning it up your entire life. What does it say in the scripture? The deceitfulness of sin hardens the heart!! More than likely, your heart will become so hardened from all the years living in sin that you won't be able, nor be willing to repent. That's why it says in the scriptures "today is the day of salvation!!" If your heart is soft enough to receive the message now, you better repent!! If you continue in your sin after that and stay in your deception, God will eventually hand you over to it just like He did to Ahab and the false prophets. God is much wiser and smarter than you and God will not be mocked!! If your heart is soft enough to receive the Gospel now....REPENT!!!! TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION, NOT

The heart of the thief on the cross was softened so much that he made a strong act of confession.

When I hear people say that they will get right with God later it makes think their hearts are be hardened more and more. It’s sad to hear it and I can’t imagine how our Lord feels when someone says in their heart they love their sin more then God.

Wow i have wondered about this. This is strongly taught in my old church. That even at the last minute, if we repent and accept God, then He is faithful to forgive. That guy on the cross beside Jesus is always being used as an example. Thank you for talking about this.

The two thieves on the cross are often being abused to believe in the deathbed conversations. There most certainly are exceptions, like when someone got sick and calls out to Jesus during his last breath, but 99.9 % of those who claim to repent on their deathbed are like the first thief on the cross, they are faking repentance

Great message! Right on point. I was telling a sister in Christ that I now see that very very few go to Heaven. Those that are on their deathbed surrounded by unbelievers or Christians that do not live in repentance wouldn't even have a chance to speak to anyone if they are lucky enough to have a little time before they pass away to repent like the thief.

The DELUSION is what the Holy Spirit had me study in 2 Thess 2 being a baby in Christ this past May as he was showing me that the delusion is the V's as well as they did not want to give up their sins here in these last days and still cannot see where we are at, especially after the MOTB was taken. SO much more to this, but I agree 100% with your messages, you are in the spirit. Most are not. It's heartbreaking watching this judgement across the world for sins.

Good lesson. For someone to say they will repent on their deathbed is like saying yes i believe in Jesus but i will deliberately sin until it's my time to go. The bible is very clear on this matter.

Yes. It is possible to repent on your deathbed. But you will need to have a genuine heart of repentance, and a will to change. Look at the thief on the cross.

But, anybody who says “I’ll repent later” is trusting in their own ways and is trying to find their own way to Heaven.

Amen Brother Adam wise words. Waiting on your death bed to repent doesn’t seem wise nor does it seem sincere to me. God knows our heart we can’t fool God. When we wait in our death bed to repent we are gambling with our soul I wouldn’t want to risk it I fear the Lord.
