The author of Bocchi the Rock, Aki Hamaji, said in an interview that she and her sister are not really interested in each other's work

Bocchi the Rock, featuring Gotou Hitori (Bocchi), Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryo, Kita Ikuya, and others, is a light hearted anime about high schoolers wanting to make a band and Bocchi who put all her hours into learning how to play the guitar, cherishing the fleeting time they have in high school before they have to leave each other.

FYI: Her little sister is Higasa Nozomi(日笠希望), the author of manga called Kiss and Cry, and currently she's active as Ohmameda(大豆田) and wrote a one-shot called Genius Picasso in Jump Plus.
And fun fact, they not reading each others' manga is a lie lol
Her sister tweeted about BTR many times when the anime was airing, and even wrote a short story for BTR comic anthology! In this story it focuses the relationship between Hitori and Futari, and the story feels so cute considering they're real sisters.
She also helped making the latest Ijichi sisters' chapter according to the author herself.
