Yes!! Woman said she was allergic to ibuprofen. When I asked the woman she said she still wanted it and it caused a stomach ache. I explained to her that a stomach ache is not an allergic reaction and to take it with food. Never had a problem from her again, no more stomach aches. 😅

A pharmacy tech helped protect my pregnancy when a doctor had prescribed a antibiotic that was contraindicated during late stage pregnancy. She told us and called the doctor to have it changed to another antibiotic. I'm so thankful for you guys!

Pharmacy Technician here. Had a dental office call and approve Tylenol W/Codeine #3 for a patient. I hadn’t called their office asking for it that refill. So on a hunch I called the dental office and asked for the person who approved this patient’s narcotic back. She said she works in billing and never called me to approve anything. Side note the patient was one of their employees at the dentist’s office calling for herself using a staff member’s name. I told the Pharmacist and notified Police. 💊

When I worked as a nurse I saved so many lives by being more knowledgeable in pharmacology than the doctors I worked with. Pretty much every day there were errors like writing mg instead of mcg, or a decimal in the wrong place.

OMGOSH!! I had an awful reaction to gabapentin. It was horrific. I'll never ever take gabapentin again. EVER!!

I am so glad for pharmacists! I am severely allergic to a common antibiotic, and they've saved my life. It was prescribed under a brand name so I didn't know what it was. I had told the doctor I am allergic multiple times on that visit.

Maybe not Vyvanse, but ive seen dogs take Xanax, and klonipins i think. Some dogs have high anxiety or for very stressful things like flying driving or 4th of july😂

I was prescribed two rxs tht had a BLACK BOX warning between the 2 rxs I had seen a NP who didn't know me I got extremely nauseous like projectile vomiting tht even Zofran didn't help I D/C rxcon my own and stayed nauseous for 7 days I have added rx to allergy list so it doesn't happen again

Yeah, this is what happens more now. The doctors dont listen and just perscibe what the doc they read to get your diagnosis tells tham. For all the ppl who say test are unnecessary in school because now your phone has everything you need. I hope you feel the same whay if a doctor give you the wrong meds because he just looked up you symptoms and couldnt make the needed changes that would have come from him actually knowing the information and treating you properly...
