My dad and uncle use a tool that punches holes in the caps, then they spin the panel in an extractor. It leaves the comb intact, and removes the honey. The panel is then reinserted where the bees can begin to produce honey again for their winter season. They don't have to spend time building the comb back on the panels.

Honey never expires either and has so many health benefits. I'm allergic to bees but we respect each other, always carry my epi pens. I am 39 last time I was stung was 6 years ago. I stepped in a hole and got stung over 25 times. Scarry but thankfully I'm ok
