I've watched this film many times and it never gets old. Terrific cast, the great Conrad Veidt, Valerie Hobson, excellent script. What a gem!! Lives on.

Valerie was such a class act.She made several great films in the late 50's.The Card, Interupted Journey, the Rocking Horse Winner and of course, Kind Hearts and Coronets!!!! Beautiful too!

Three cheers for the British Navy! From an American Army Veteran! I really enjoyed this movie. Strange how the Germans and the British got along as the ship was going down. I figured the British would have been killed. Thank you for posting it.

The characters in the movie are so unique. 80 years after this movie released, I feel it was made in today's time.

Conrad Veidt and Valerie Hobson had wonderful chemistry in both films they did together. So sad he died young, at 50, not living to see a post-Nazi homeland.

Fab film, I first saw it over forty years ago and I still enjoy watching it whenever it is shown on TV. Great storyline, once you start watching you always want to see it thru until the end. I must say I found that guy (whenever he appeared he always introduced himself 'I'm Bob Barton secret police' in a loud voice ) very irritating.
