I think the clock actually sums the interior up perfectly; a functional and elegant balance of analog and digital. All the switches I'd use 95% while driving are manual buttons/dials. Would maybe want a few of them like defrost and AC on/off real buttons, but very livable. Simple steering wheel with a few real buttons; some manufactures are cramming 15-20 functions in there. My old A4 use a stalk for cruise control and honestly I think it's one of the smartest things ever; un-clutters the steering wheel and is perfectly functional and tactile. Keyless entry with push to start would be nice, but for me not a game changer either.

Thomas, one thing I just remembered now that it's starting to get cold in the mornings; all these capacative buttons would be horrible while wearing gloves, even the touch screen compatible ones. Big touch screen icons still work alright for me and probably the center console buttons here, but a bunch of small and cluttered steering wheel controls would become absolutely useless.

Not big on the gold brake calipers and gold wheels combo, but that's all easily changed options.

Lovely refresh! I think this looks as good as the first gen, and much better in the rear. The interior is *beautiful!* hopefully when the EV macan comes, Porsche brings high grade leatherette in the future. And that 2.9L V6, mmmm! Such a good note. Love the macan! 😄🔥

I picked up mine the other day. The dials are such a welcome compared to the digital dashes of today. As a second car it's a joy to drive and gives me so much confidence on the road.

Amazing video as always Thomas. So they got rid of 1000 button centre console and replaced it with 1000 button touch sensitive buttons.

Excellent review as always. The changes although not spectacular seem well thought, the most important being the power increase. Still, I think this is too small in terms of interior and luggage space for a family SUV - most probably a passenger would not fit behind me as a driver. I am hesitating between this Porsche - which does feel like something special and a BMW X3 M40i, which is for sure more practical, drives reasonably well, and is also a mild hybrid after LCI, which offers some advantages in my country. Which one would you choose between these two?

2022 Macan S (21, 20, 19) in North America have keyless entry as standard and you dont have to place the key there to start it, just turn a switch on the left of the driver.
