Mandelbrot World Record Attempt - Part 11 (e20000 to e21831)

Показать описание
The deepest Mandelbrot zoom ever! This zoom is over 24-hours long, uploaded to YouTube in 11 parts. It will finish on a mini-Mandelbrot. As such, I am claiming a world record for the deepest Mandelbrot video! I have kept to the traditional colouring style for this one. Consider playing your own music while you let this one roll. Sit back, relax, and soak it in.

This will be the only time I ever attempt a video this deep. Rendering around the final mini-Mandelbrot is just too computationally expensive to try again; I have other things I wish to achieve now. If you wish to claim the deepest Mandelbrot title, and would like me to acknowledge it, here are my conditions: It must finish on a mini-Mandelbrot, it must be rendered in at least 4k, it should double in depth no faster than once per second, and you should publish the coordinates.

Finally, a huge thank-you to my supporters on Patreon, and my loyal subscribers who have made this channel possible! If it wasn’t for you, this content would not exist.

Here are the links for each part (the release will be spaced)

So dense the 4K image began to moire. What a super dense dive.

Your attempt is an unqualified success. You followsd the rules of a true Mandelbrot fractal and added the beauty of color. Some may claim they have seen or even created better. No, just looping or zooms in magnification only. Well done, Math. _S._ Town.

I have absolutely zero idea what a Mandelbrot is...I googled it, still absolutely no idea what the hell is happening or why this is impressive but congrats anyways! I am absolutely fascinated with your channel and will be checking it out this weekend when I take a trip

I just watched the entire zoom from part 1 to 11... if you can believe it. It took me way longer than I thought.

Thank you <3

I had to download it, because youtube kept buffering, but absolutely beautiful. Keep up the good work!

Wow! Finally reached the end! I don’t know whether to 🎉 or 😢 - perhaps both. Thank you @MathsTown for your dedication to the beauty and mystery of Mandelbrot. I remember reading about Mandelbrot in the early 80s, and never imagined then how captivating the deep detail could be.

You've done it. Where's your recognition from the Mandelbrot Set Society? Or am I overthinking it?

What number date type do you need to compute fractals at a zoom factor of e21831? And what compute engine is used for that? How long does it take to compute a full frame? I have no imagination here...

Whew! That last couple of minutes was tuff! Actually crashed YouTube on my Roku at 1440p.
Big congratulations to Maths Town on this very impressive accomplishment!

Was always curious who are we supposed to look at the video! Staring at the middle mostly!?🤷🤔🤷❤️‍🔥🤗👍

Can you do little fractal loops from awsome positions as shorts so it can repeat over and over?

2 hours of circles we going deep on this one

Congrats! 🎉 My suggestion is that you can make a full, faster version of this zoom.

Also, how many iterations are needed for this Zoom?

this is amazing. how long did it take to render each frame? and what kind of computer did you use?

Please make a fotokollage picture of different fractal screenshots to get inteference healing

How many bits of precision are needed to compute the deepest zoom level without excessive noise and other rounding errors?

Watched through every part, after the first couple it only changed trajectories a handful of times to get variety. Very meditative watching it. Like if you watched through it all as well! :)

Congratulations!
It's a pity that the moment of the finish could not be seen in real time because the screen was stuck in buffer.
Great work!

How did you find the mini-Mandelbrot at the end?
