4 Reasons Why PC Players Are Better Than Console Players at Fortnite

Console players vs PC players.

This debate has been going on since the start of video games.

The truth is that PC players are objectively better than console players.

Yes, the PC master race is real.

But not because console players are any less skilled.

Rather, console players are limiting their skills because of the weaker hardware inherent to a console.

In this video, I explain the 4 major reasons why PC players are better than console players at Fortnite.

1. PC players get higher FPS than console players

Higher FPS increases the smoothness of animations, reduces the effect of ghosting, and reduces tearing.

Higher FPS also reduces system latency, so you can see enemies sooner.

And when you have more FPS you get more information.

Information such as the speed and trajectory of a target that can enable you to hit more of your shots.

2. PC players can tweak their Fortnite graphics settings

Console players are restricted to the number of settings they can change in Fortnite.

But PC players can change just about anything. For example, PC players can turn shadows off in Fortnite.

And turning shadows off is a huge advantage for PC players because it makes it easier to see enemies.

Shadows are also a major GPU resource, so turning them off increases FPS.

3. The best Fortnite players are on PC

If you look at the leaderboards of any Fortnite tournament, you'll notice that the top players are all on PC.

Also, with a PC, it's easier to join Discord servers and find great players to practice with.

And when you play with better players, then you get better as a result.

4. Playing with a keyboard and mouse on a PC is better

Some players use a keyboard and mouse on their console because they want to experience what it's like to use a keyboard and mouse.

But keyboard and mouse on a console is terrible because there's input lag.

Keyboard and mouse on a PC is infinitely better than it is on a console.

My friends have Been lobbying for separation of console and PC in fortnite. People constantly ask epic to separate the platforms but they don’t listen. If they don’t separate the cross play or at least give us the choice to turn off cross play sometime this season they will lose millions of players. People are fed up . Epic DOES NOT LISTEN... they only care about satisfying content creators and giving them an advantage

Why do pc players have such a strong need to merge with the console community? For more than a decade I’ve never experienced cheaters, then this desperate community cried so much they finally introduced them to the console multiplayer community. What happens after? Cheating, with the advantages of free-aiming, 360 turns in half a mili-sec, better fps 100+ giving pc players the edge of i shot first. No recoil.

Pc players just complains about stronger aim assist on console.
Yes that may be true but that's the one and only Advantage that console players has over PC . But pc has so many more advantages over console .
1. Pc players have higher fps
2. Pc players gets lower input delay
3. Pc players can turn Shadows off that makes it easier to spot enemies
4. You can tweak your GRAPHIC SETTINGS unlike console can only adjust colorblind, brightness, motion blur and contrast
5. Pc players can upgrade their pc specs whenever they want to, but for console, you need fo wait YEARS for the new console to be released



So why tf are pc players complaining about consoles strong aim assist ???

Here's a simple but complex breakdown in short.
1. Controller vs Keyboard
2. PC vs Console

1. Controller is a two button method input, and is all about aim.
Editing and building fast isn't something easy for it and same with facing multiple enemies long ranged all at once compared to it actually being possible on PC, also the building speed is considerably slower for the average player that plays controller in comparison to the average player that plays Keyboard n Mouse.
Its all about timing for everything, even opening the build menu and placing a build at the same time with the turbo building feature is about timing in order to emulate being a fast player with this input. Thats how pro's like Sway make it look as if he's on PC, plus he plays claw where your thumbs don't move from the analogue sticks, helps with the accuracy for aiming(Most important feature). This claw style can be reciprocated with paddles (cheaper) or a scuf controller if you don't wanna play that style and hurt your hands long term.

2. Keyboard and mouse. This is all about having the most experience as a player knowing how to really play the game as its almost like everything is manual for keyboard. Aim for long range is easier to be precise and sniping is a whole other story for this, hence why its easier to hit no scopes more on mouse than controller plus the camera is slightly shifted a bit almost like the FOV is a tiny bit different for controller players on pc/ keyboard players on pc different play style and input= different sens and camera movement. Also its your whole wrist that aims compared to a thumb analogue which has to play a slower sens to get the real accuracy it needs.
Keyboard has all the freedom in the hands of the player. However thats a good and bad. Cos it will take you a long time(exp) to learn how to go ham on it in comparison to the recommended preferable use for shooter games game-input, Controller.

1. PC will alwys be better no cap. Can't argue with that I've had idiots say its a lot more easier to play on consoles because the fps is limit and for certain in the terms of "there is no hitchs and bumps" cos everything was built precisely to be a specific power (60fps).
Now a lot of the time, people that say this shit never played on console vs a pc player. Experience talks. PC is literally the goal/ aim for console players cos everybody knows its the higher power, more freed and its all based completely on interchangeable parts which can upgrade performance. As said also in this video btw. PC doesn't have the same input delay as console cos its built to be freed and not restricted like the PS4 (bare in mind that at the time this was released, they used the greatest tech, pre-fortnite it weren't seen as a restriction cos a massive multiplayer game like this weren't made at the time).
Oh and, if you want a clearer picture, majority of people are now moving to PC due to fortnite becoming as big as it was and now PC parts industries are making more profit and developing newer hardware. So its been big win for corperate gains. Now cos of that reason people also play other games via PC cos they can be played with controller too.

2. Console is built specifically with the latest hardware and tech for a specific time. There is no upgrades, no tweeking on the console settings for better significant perfomance, its as the man said. You have to wait for years on a company delivering a new console gaming device.
The Good news for console is that since PS5 nd the new XBox are out and upgraded they could probably be running fortnite at 120fps, I haven't checked that yet.

Overall. Quit fighting over this silly shit, dedicate your time accordingly to have a social life with your loved ones and don't let this consume you cos thats probably the only value most 1st countries like UK and US still have, consumerism.
Remember games are meant to be fun, and if there is a slightly huge disadvantage accept it and be wise with your choices. Cos everything in life has a disadvantage at some point but what are you gonna give up? No! (I hope you don't).


Aside from all of that, (read if you want)...
be patient cos rushing really ain't gonna help, what will is watching someone like Gary Vee on young people and how to think successful, and do whats needed in what you want or vise versa. Also, check out Noam Chomsky,

The fact epic will always favour pc over console is ridiculous then you have the pc players telling console players to get good nah how about pc players get f**ked and console players actually either have an advantage for once or have the option to turn off cross play. There has been so many sweats and cheats in this season I’ve reported about 20 snap ons during the week. Usually I have time to play fortnite before I go to work and the scale of cheats are raising on pc yet epic are too blind to actually notice and give pc more advantages when they throw in a patch note for them

Nice video after our aim assist was nerfed / removed. Why don’t they get rid of scroll-wheel then? It pisses me off. All these PC player complaining about console players who have a significant disadvantage in gameplay, when all we have are sticks, aim assist, and 60fps, they have scroll-wheel, foot peddles, macros, decked out gaming PC with a shit ton of PC stuff on it, and keys that are faster and quicker than a half a second wait time to edit on controller. So whats the problem? I thought your mouse tracking was somehow worse then us.
