Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, redwine and dried garlic are really unusual and I never saw those ingredients in borsch

I would reccomend searing the meat first and deglazing with water or white wine, whatever you prefer. Instant flavour boost!

You’re saying the right thing it is indeed Russian too because obviously Ukraine was a republic back then, it used to be called kievskaya roski which means it’s literally Ukrainian Russian dish! But I know this dish is super popular in Slavic countries as well, and you’re right it can be made different ways!

i would add greens into bowl cuz they get yucky if you store it . and borsch is always better on second day
