I love art supplies. I little share of what I inherited from my mother and grandmother that might not be a usual item but. I have 6 boxes of the original Blackwing 602 pencil. My grandmother a creator, artist, business owner of Josef Originals of California, a ceramics and gift wares company. My mother learned how to draw in my grandmothers style and became her main illustrator. They both used these pencils to do their rough draft drawings before finalizing the final piece. They then used acetate on top of the rough to final the design with colored pencils in which was the original prismacolor colored pencil. I too have a small bunch of those as the large lot was stolen at our estate sale in which we had a huge turnout but sadly, greed drove someone to leave with a large load of art supplies. Anyway, it tickled me to see you enjoy the Blackwing 602. Half the pressure, twice the speed. 😊

I love art Supplies! Thank you for sharing your favorites! I love and have many of these, too! Pencils of all varieties are my favorite hoard—I never worry about them going bad, so splurging on them feels safe! They are endless in use, convenient, and beautiful!!

Honestly, I might love art supplies a little too much and need to start culling my collection to what I actually use.

I, too, love the Sendak artist roll. I have one full size one for longer trips, and a mini that lives in my everyday bag. Each one has an Art ToolKit palette and a watercolor sketchbook I made to fit the pockets.

I love Arches watercolor paper, but I prefer the hot press surface and wish it came in 600gsm blocks, but it doesn’t.

I love Daniel Smith and Sennelier watercolors, but have recently been loving A Gallo watercolor paints, made in Italy.

I just discovered Pith sketchbooks on a recent trip to the UK, and thankfully, Jackson’s ships to the US!

I love Derwent Inktense and Graphitint pencils, but also Faber Castel Polychromos and Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils.

I’ve recently discovered Unison soft pastels and have a small set that I’m enjoying very much.

Favorite brushes are probably Escoda Prados and the Roman Szmal synthetic squirrel mops.

Within the last year, I fell in love with Holbein Indigo wc. It's made with PBk6-Lamp Black
PR122-Quinacridone Magenta
PB15-Phthalo Blue

It's the addition of the quin magenta that makes it special to me. Up against a magenta or other deep pink, it's just lovely!

I love art supplies! I've been thinking of doing an art supplies favorite video this year, never done one before.
My absolute favorite this year would be Turner acryl gouache, as it's the paint I use the most on my sculptures.
