Do you know that there is an age requirement to become an international student? As per IRCC, you need to be at least 18-19 years old to study in Canada, although this age limit varies per province. Although studying in Canada does not maximum age limit, you need to be careful when choosing your route to get your permanent residency in Canada after completion of the program. What I learned during our webinar session with Ms. Maricel (Immigration expert) that some immigration program has an age limit. In this video, we talk about the pros and cons of your age when it comes to studying permits and permanent residency:

I'm a 37yo architect, have some experience in construction and project management, and real estate market. I was thinking about immigration by doing a diploma course in accounting but it seems like it's not the best pathway for me even if I was seeking a change in my career I don't think it will convince the immigration official. I'll have to find another program more suitable for my situation now, thanks for the tips.

I am 25 years old and have no work experience and a 7 year study gap after 1 semester in a university. I am currently preparing to retake the 12th grade school exam and will apply for a university after I get my certificate. Will I face any issues with getting a study permit? Thank you!

Hello 👋😊 I'm planning as well to study in Canada. I'm now 28 and probably would be able to come to Canada next 2/3yrs. I'm still saving for the expenses. I have a bachelor's degree in biology and I what to study practical nursing or any field related to healthcare/science. However my work experiences are far different from my degree, I used to work as a call center agent and a teacher in Thailand. Do you think it will cause any problems?

MC I'm in my late 30s, got a bachelor's in design but only worked on it for like 2 years. Due to lack of good opportunities, I became an English teacher in my country. I wanna go to Canada to do a diploma in IT. I really want a career change. How can I make a compelling case to get a study permit?
