Here we are, worried about our wrinkles and imperfections, taking for granted how blessed we are to be alive and well.

Can you just imagine the sheer amount of pain this person has gone through? Takes some type of strength to want to continue.

My brother was burnt in an explosion where he worked. Over 80% of his body. His chest and arms took the brunt. Luckily his face was spared. I'm surprised he survived. He was in the hospital for four months. It was hell for him. But he is still alive and kicking. This man is incredible.

I know this is about an extraordinary case, but I love the soft caring expression on Dr. Youn’s face while watching this video. You can tell he’s a compassionate person.

Joe DiMeo is, unfortunately, back in hospital after an infection in his neck, then thumb, and now needs life-long infusions. He's a beautiful person who is still unfortunately suffering. Prayers Joe gets through this 🙏.

The fact that you knew or highly suspected that that one patient would likely pass from his burn trauma, but suggested that the family should have a chance to say goodbye to him truly shows at that time what a great doctor you would become! ♥

I remember a story about a little girl who needed from her esophagus to her rectum to survive. They announced that they had found a donor and everyone was so happy and cheering for them. I was the only one to comment how another family lost their little 2 year old and donated her body to save another little girl. So bittersweet. I cried over a baby I didn't even know.

I feel bad for him glad there are plastic surgeons helping people like this 🙏♥️

I'm glad to be a donor! When I pass I want surgeons to use whatever they can and give it to whomever needs it! So much credit to surgeons and the staff around them.

Hi. Anesthesia here. I can’t speak for the mood at your hospital, but when the transplant team came to procure organs at our hospital they knew the hospital staff was going to be working for many many hours, often without breaks long enough to run to the cafeteria for food. The work was stressful and often happened in the middle of the night. Pizza is something nearly everyone can eat, it keeps well for many hours sitting out on a table and isn’t messy. It’s not a “party”, it’s a way to support the staff in doing their part to help save a life.

That's an amazing, wonderful thing for him. I hope the loved ones who lost their son, brother, etc. feel good about this donation. Sorry for your loss.

I had 2 fingers amputated, left hand. Skin was taken from my thigh, used to replace the skin that was shredded from the fingers. Then the fingers inserted in a pedical flap in my lower right side belly to facilitate healing. gosh, can't recall how long I was attached. Developed a crush on my doctor. LOL. He has passed on, bless his soul.

The reason I love you so much is because I can see you REALLY LISTEN, and the compassion on your face is amazing. I have received horrible medical news recently and my doctor's don't even treat me like a person. They also don't seem to care about anything I'm going through. I wish I had a doctor like you.

My grandmother had a saying that I took to heart as a child. By the grace of God go I. I had a horrible childhood but always knew someone had it worse. As an adult I try to always keep in mind that no matter how tough things get, there are many who have it so much worse. We should always count our blessings.
God bless this young man. I can’t imagine the pain and heartache he has gone through.

What amazing strength and will power he must have to just want to carry on fighting through all the pain and suffering to get to where he is now! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

A long time ago I read the biography of a WWII fighter pilot who was badly burdened and he was in terrible pain. He was operated on again and again but he was always in near intolerable pain. In an awful twist of fate he died in a fire. I can still weep for him and now this young man. From experience I know burns are the worst pain, the worst.

This brings me back to the Katie Piper story in 2008 and how she has started the Katie Piper Foundation with extends support to victims of acid attacks, large-body burns, and over all body disfigurements. These victims, whether it be by accident or intentional, are more common than we think and my heart goes out to anyone who has dealt with any kind of disfigurement ❤️❤️
