That guy standing behind Walter and Donald in the middle deserved a lifetime achievement Grammy (he won a Grammy for best engineered record for Two Against Nature). Roger Nichols is the single greatest recording engineer of all time. Every stereo equipment store you walk into has Steely Dan on the turntable or in the CD machine to demonstrate systems. You can hear every single friggin' instrument, and there were a lot of them on those Dan albums.

Donald Fagan is a genius. Walter Becker was a genius (may he RIP). The soundtrack of my life, Steely Dan requires & clearly deserves a category of their own. 🙏♥️🇺🇲✌

Rest Walters soul, the poor guy was trying to reach out for Stevie Wonder’s hand, then Donald pokes at him like “yo Walt focus, it’s Grammytime!”
