Black Friday and Walter is wailing trough Donald's singing. When you know you're dying, this is pure gold.

I have been defending my opinion for years with my low-brow friends that SD is the finest R & R Band in America to ever come along, for 100 reasons. And I will continue to do so. And I will look for more enlightened friends. Thank you, SD!

40 years ago I had the album. The Royal Scam . And Aja. Played the shit out of them. Amazingly, I appreciate them more at 58. Talk about music that stands the test of time. Unbelievable. Perhaps unparalleled.

RIP Walter I am crying but thank you for a lifetime of JOY you have provided me and thousands and thousands of FANS worldwide. Genius comes around once in a while and every second you spent in this world was a miracle and gift to us all.

Saw SD a total 5 times. Best horn line ever. Last I saw them was at the Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I'm 71 now and closer to the end than the start! Told my wife after the Jazz Fest and a Cushone de Lait po boy my life is complete😊

I'm so grateful that my dear friend Ed invited me along to see Walter Becker and Steely Dan play Aja, plus the bulk of their incredible tunes, at the Greek Theater in L.A. Rest in Peace Ed and thank you for the concert experience of my life.

So awesome to see Larry Carlton playing with SD again! And I'm a big fan of Jon Herington too, he does excellent work with SD carrying on the legacy.

Becker’s guitar on Pretzel Logic is so inspired, so beautiful – almost as if he knew it was the last song he would perform live.

Walter, ever the hip cat, the cool-one to give us his rap. Even when he must not have been feeling his best, he gave us his best! What more can anyone really give? That, plus his unquavering talent that 😊rocked us to the end. I’ve never seen Larry Carlton play live with them. Thanks for posting this. Good job!

Out of nowhere came the 1970s. It seemed like it visited from another planet, bringing this great music and film and even TV was pretty good. I was honored to be alive and come of age during that decade. I am grateful for it. Sadly, it went back into the spaceship and went away, never to see seen again on earth...with the exception of YouTube. Say what you want--I am grateful we have a place to see it again.

Rest well Walter. You gave us the best music on this planet. I remember when you began playing in the seventies and you guys exploded on the scene and everyone was dazzled by your incredible instrumentals, and unique musical creations. I will listen to Steely Dan until the day I die and I will never get tired of it. I have become tired of several bands from the 60's and 70's and beyond but I'll never get tired of listening to Steely Dan. God has you now Walter, rest in his love.

I saw Steely Dan a number of times, but my favorites were the show at the Santa Barbara County Bowl and especially the show at the Beacon in NYC when they played the full Aja album followed by greatest hits. Incredible!
