In this one we take a quick look at the best used small cars for over £5,000 but under £10,000. What are The Best SMALL CARS - between £5k & £10k?

From super city cars to pint-sized haulers to performance runabouts we've got you covered here. Just what is the best small car at this price range?

When you think of small cars you tend to think of the Ford Fiest and Vauxhall Corsa but there are plenty to choose from in this category and I try to take you through my thoughts on what the best small cars in the UK are at this price range. We look at everything from practical small cars to small performance cars and those that sit somewhere in between.

All these cars offer economical running costs, reasonable insurance pricing, and a lot of bang for your buck. These relatively cheap used cars can offer a lot as a first or second car.

Let me know what you think in the comments. Are these really some of the best used cars that money can buy?

I've owned a couple of these, including three Jazzes -- the Jazz has more room than most cars in the sector up, and 100% reliable.

If you want an auto small car, I suggest the Hyundai i10 1.2L (8k for 4yo with 65k miles). It's a nice car, and the auto is the regular torque-converter type, which means it's not as economical, but it's robust and reliable. I agree with the Yaris in the slightly larger category, but you should also check out a brand new Dacia Sandero. Jazz is a very good choice, as well.

Another great episode many thanks! The A1 is certainly my favourite there but a bit surprised you didn’t include a Fiesta in your top ten?

Cheers Jim… I have become a bit of a fan girl of the Honda Jazz. But you’re right about water in the boot… and I still have yet to check it again after 2 days of near constant rain 🌧😳😬

Sorry, I know car prices are a bit crazy at the moment but I can't agree that £7.5 K for a 7 year old Yaris with 70K miles is a good deal ! Just my opinion 🤷 Would agree though, the Seat Mii, Up & Citygo's are grear we car's.

I had an Audi S1 until I had to be sensible and move to my A4 TDi. It was such a hoot to drive if not very cheap to run.

The up and Citigo are both discontinued now only seat make the mii now and that’s it. Such a shame and I expect the mii to withdraw from sale in the next 2/3 years there is not enough profit margin in them for manufacturers

That Toyota Yaris Sport is over priced! Even with the miles it has. I got a 2015 Yaris Icon 1.3L auto CVT with 90, 000 for £5, 500 with FTSH (Full Toyota Service History) 6 months ago. Looks & drives awesome!

The UP could have been a decent car but they forgot to design it.

Can’t see past the Yaris or Jazz in that list, missus had an A1 which was ok but nothing more than a plush Polo….also mother in law has 500 and there is just zero quality about that car almost comical some of the materials…🤣
