Microsoft:
*"You Dare Use My Own Spells Against Me Potter"*

We need this for Google, Nvidia, Asus/ROG, Dell/Alienware, HP, Razer, etc.. Sure Microsoft gathering telemetry to monitor and 'improve' Windows OS is potentially harmful, but why do the other companies need to sniff all of our data.

Using Windows own tools to block it's telemetry is.. Diabolical! I love it. So glad I subscribed to your channel years ago. You and Chris Titus tech tips help me to keep windows from invading my privacy. Thanks for the video.

Absolutely delighted about this video. Thank you so much!!!
* Question to you sir if you don't mind. After turning on my desktop PC this morning 28/06/2023, I received a message that the Windows firewall is not on nor active. The irritating thing is that one can't get the FW to reset itself by clicking the "red reset " button as if there is nothing behind it! I used a restore to restore my system with luckily only a few problems. What I need to know is, could it be that the mass of telemetry issues turned off in the advance-section-of-the-FW would have had anything to do with crashing the firewall. If so, how can I go ahead and correct/reverse all these setting back to normal. Thank so much for your valuable video's and advice always.

I run Linux on all of my machines except one. That one machine has windows on it and I have blocked everything on it. I'll also be following this video to go even more. Thank you kindly.

The only issue with this tip is the likelihood that,
A. You will need to re do it after every update due to the rules being reset and or the spyware being renamed.
B. Ms knowing that people do this will create backdoors through the firewall surreptitiously, probably creating exploits for hackers to take advantage of.
A third party firewall might be a slightly better choice for this.
On a side note.
If an application that’s blocked by the third party firewall causes the computer to freeze or crash but doesn’t when blocked by the ms firewall or there’s no internet connection you know there’s something smelly going on. Especially if the application shouldn’t need internet access.

Greeting Mr. Brian

Interesting and valuable video ...

Like more videos with respect to how to identify those services running in background that could be safely being disabled without impacting on windows performance and security ...

Suggestions for your kind notice :

1. How about Google and others spyware related apps ? Any article about their IP

2. Could you kindly share txt files of the recommendation for making windows more secure

3. Any advice on Google extension from privacy perspective ...

The concern what will be the best browser for banking ...
But maybe that other topics

Thank you for sharing ...

Respectively and kind regards ❤

Another option is to create a custom Windows ISO with telemetry removed. Of course, that would require reinstalling Windows with the custom ISO.

Hi Brian, Thanks for putting this gr8 video up, and I`d certainly like to stop anyone from spying on me. You mentioned a few times that you'd done similar videos on this before, but in all the time I`ve followed you I cant recall seeing anything else on this subject. Could you provide the links to these videos please, because I guess there are many people like me who can look through all of your past videos BUT wont know what were looking for? Cheers and thanks for ll the help you give us.
