I like reboot version too, it's a good game for 2013 and combat is still good in 2022. But yes, original story and dmc 5 is better.

In the release of the trailer people had SUCH GOOD THEORIES of what the Reboot trailer meant.

Some thought it was Dante even before DMC3
Some others thought somebody being brainwashed by remaining members of The Order to think he is Dante.
Others thought it would be a darker timeline take on Dante.

All would have became way better than what the hell it turned out to be.

The reboot version is easier to play, it's a good start for newcomers. I'd recommend playing that one first.
