Herzstück des neugestalteten Cockpits ist das hochauflösende und wertig gestaltete Farbdisplay mit den vier runden Zeigerinstrumenten. Auch die Anordnung der Tasten und die Gruppierung der einzelnen Schalterelemente auf der Instrumententafel des Fahrerarbeitsplatzes wurden von den Entwicklern neu konzipiert. Hier sitzt jeder Griff. Eine schnelle und raffinierte Steuerung garantiert das neue „Stacks&Cards"-System (Stapel und Karten), das über Lenkradtasten eine effiziente Navigation zwischen den einzelnen Menügruppierungen (Stacks - wie zum Beispiel Routeninformationen oder aktuelle Fahrzeugdaten) und deren Untermenüs (Cards), ermöglicht. Neu in der ComfortClass 500 ist auch eine Lenkradtastatur mit erhöhter Funktionalität, die den Entfall von Schaltern auf der Instrumententafel möglich macht.
