It makes sense that nightfury tails and wings eventually start to tear because they are extremely fast so the wings and tail would eventually become run down

Dude the ancient would have been an absolute death machine. Nothing would stand a chance. No dragon creature or weaponry form would even come close to rivaling this thing. That is so awesome.

Finally somebody who applies non-mammalian sexual dimorphism to non-mammalian mythical creatures.
Edit: yeah OK not all species of bird/lizard have the females be bigger than males. I guess I'd go off the example of large bird-of-prey species. Still tired of seeing the overused "males are bigger and more badass than females" thing on mythical creatures that don't have to apply to this, despite being modelled after mammals or birds.

To put it into some perspective; the first time we see Toothlesss, when he's about 15 probably, his plasma blasts are powerful enough to destroy siege equipment in one shot and stagger the Red Death and the Screaming Death (which has the hardest scales of any dragon). In the second movie, Toothless is 20 and his plasma blasts are now able to destroy seastacks. When supercharged by the Alpha display, they actually blowed off the Bewilderbeast's left tusks.
If we follow the logic that Toothless's plasma blasts continue to get more and more powerful, and this `Ancient stage` is what happenes when he's over 200 years old, his blasts could be able to level modern buildings, or at least cause severe damage to it, in a single shot. When fully charged... oh boy. I'm confident in comparing it to actual bombs. Not nukes or the MOAB, that would be disgustingly overpowered. Then again, this entire stage screams overpowered.

genuinely so excited that someone finally realizes that the light furies features are that way not because shes a female, but because all light furies look like that. as well as making the female the bigger more powerful one as is more commonly seen in nature

When I watched the first movie I didn't understood why everybody was so damn afraid of night fury dragons, like toothless looked so small and cute until the second movie came and I realized he was just a teen night fury

I think the idea of them getting lighter in color or receiving highlights in their scales really match with their whole “night fury” reputation especially if they’re built to hunt in the night. Makes the white patches on them look like the stars in the sky

I like to think that the only reason toothles is able to live to 300+ year old (as it said that very few night furys live past 70-100) is because he is a titan wing.
